FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • At what stage in the project should I get you involved?

As soon as possible! The sooner the better, as we can make sure right from the start you are making all of the correct choices and guide you in the right direction. Saving you time, money and frustration later down the track.

  • Do you travel?

Absolutely! I am based in Auckland but I’m happy to travel all around New Zealand. Additional travel charges may apply.

  • What if I have no idea what look and style I like?

That is what I can help you with. I know the questions to ask, what to show you and how to get to the point where we have a very clear vision of your style and direction.

  • I have no idea what I am doing? How do I know what you can help me with?

That is exactly what I am here for, to help guide you with your project. It would be great to sit down with you to discuss your project and which aspects we can work on together.

  • Can I order product through you?

Yes! I would recommend it. It means for one we can take control of the ordering, liaising and delivery process which takes it off your hands, whilst also being able to pass designer discounts on to you.

  • I would love to work with you but I am not sure I can afford it.

We can cater to any budget and discuss which is the best way to spend your money and where it would be best to save it. As we also pass on designer discounts to you for products, this can often offset design fees.

  • Why should i hire an interior designer?

The huge design considerations, selections and decisions that need to be made for a new build, renovation, or even a bedroom makeover can be daunting and you may have no idea where to start. Working with an interior designer takes the guess work out of it and guides you through the process. We can be as involved in the project as you need us to be and design as many of the aspects of your space you require.

  • Do you receive designer discounts?

Yes! We also believe in passing on discounts to you as our clients.

  • What if I am not happy with the designs you produce?

With the process that we follow we should never get to this point. At each stage of the project we gather more information and feedback from you, further progressing and adjusting your design as we go. Therefore by the time we reach your final design, it should be everything you have dreamed of and more.

  • Where do you specify your materials, furniture and styling items from?

We have a huge range of suppliers that we work with. Some retail based which you may have seen before and also trade only suppliers. This means we can supply you with products you otherwise would not have access to.

  • I am already working with an architect, do I still need an interior/ kitchen designer?

Definitely! There is an undeniable similarity in what we do as professions, however the work we produce and how we can help you is completely different. In my opinion the best outcomes are when both an architect and designer work on a project. This means you will get the best of both worlds with your project. Architects and designers look at spaces very differently, therefore having a designer adds a whole other layer and way of thinking.

  • There are components of my space that I want to keep, is this possible?

Of course! We would never make you part with that favourite armchair you love or great grandmas dressing table. We love working with existing items and even highlighting them if this is what you wish. Even if you are renovating and certain aspects such as new carpet or timber flooring is out of your budget then we can definitely work with these existing constraints.
